Dr. Salminen is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He has practiced in Webster since 1974. He and his wife Carol have two married sons Willie and Bryan. Willie and his wife Kim have 4 sons. Bryan and his wife Aimee have 2 children, a daughter and a son. These six grandchildren provide much pleasure to both Dr. Salminen and his wife. He is now being honored by and taking great pleasure in seeing some of his patients now as adults bringing their children to the practice.
He has served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Dentistry and Pediatrics in the School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Rochester, where he originated the pediatric dental division of the general dental residency program. Dr. Salminen has served on several dental committees, the Strong Memorial Hospital Child Abuse Committee, and has lectured widely.
His education includes John Marshall High School in Rochester, Gettysburg College undergraduate, Michigan State University graduate school, University of Buffalo Dental School, and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Pediatric Dental Specialty internship and residency.
Dr. Salminen was a staff member of Camp Pathfinder, a canoeing camp in Algonquin Park, Ontario Canada, and currently serves on the Algonquin Campership Fund Committee to select needy children for a summer’s enjoyment at one of several camps in Algonquin Park.
Dr. Salminen’s past and present interests are Cub Scout Master, magic, golf, cross-country skiing, sailing, squash, canoeing and kayaking.
